Our premier fall event in downtown Parkersburg is the Downtown Throwdown BBQ & Brewfest. Our Brewfest highlights include beer, delicious food items from a variety of local food vendors, great live entertainment, and streaming of the WVU vs Pitt football game.
Advance tickets are $20 and $25 at the gate. Children 12 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased online by clicking this link - https://www.eventbrite.com/e/downtown-throwdown-bbq-beer-festival-tickets-687434243327?aff=oddtdtcreator, or in person at The Blennerhassett Hotel (320 Market Street).
Beer distributors will offer domestic and craft beer at the three beer trucks at the event. A limited variety of wine, soft drinks, and water will be available at the concession stand located at the end of the entrance gate.
WVU vs Pitt Game (streamed at the event)
We will be streaming the WVU vs Pitt game at the event. The game will be shown in the parking lot between The Blennerhassett Hotel and the main gate event tent (green/white tent).
Payment For Food & Drinks
Food vendors may accept cash and card. Beer trucks will only accept cash. ATMs are located near the event if needed. ATM locations are -

Disposable Cups
Participants will be given a new cup with each new drink. Please make cleanup easier for us by properly disposing of your used cups.

Entertainment
5:45 to 6:45 p.m. - Moon King
Moon King is a 19-year-old Parkersburg native and an academically recognized President's Scholar at WVUP, studying engineering. His refined rasp vocals and foot-stomping blues-rock have earned him the 2023 winner of WVUP's Got Talent, winner of Chris McGraw's MOV vocal competition, is a preferred performer for WV State Parks and Tourism and recently appeared on PBS WoodSongs Kentucky. In addition, Moon is a shining example of philanthropy, regularly volunteering his music to reach those in need through the Salvation Army, the St Francis Xavier Gabriel Project, the Children's Home Society of WV, multiple veteran organizations, autism awareness programs, and delivers uplifting high school assemblies to area youth on building confidence through kindness, self-acceptance, and determination through adversity.
Moon King will be joined on the stage by Rich Wilson on harmonica and Brayden Roux on Mandolin.
7 to 10 p.m. – Jake Binegar Band
Jake Binegar is a country music singer and songwriter from the Mid-Ohio Valley. A breath of fresh air to the country music world with his smooth vocals and authentic story-telling lyrics, Jake is excited to share his story with you. He is known for his high-energy performances and his ability to connect with his audience. Whether you're a longtime fan or a first-time listener, Jake's music is sure to leave an impression.

Smoking
Smoking is not permitted within the event, however, there is a designated smoking area near the event. The area is located in the alley behind The Blennerhassett Hotel. A sign will be posted.
