Downtown PKB Board Announces New Leadership

“On behalf of Downtown PKB’s Board of Directors, we are happy to announce we have selected the next leader of our organization. Amanda Stevens has accepted the offer to become the new Executive Director of Downtown PKB and we are excited to welcome her”, says Lindsey Piersol, President of Downtown PKB. “I would be remiss if I also didn’t take this opportunity to thank Wendy Shriver for her seven years of dedication to Downtown PKB”.

Amanda currently serves as the executive director of Artsbridge and will begin her new role with Downtown PKB on September 20th.

“I’m thrilled beyond belief and feel confident in the decision to hire Mandy as the new ED of Downtown PKB, says Wendy Shriver, outgoing director. “I’ve collaborated and worked with Mandy on several projects and events and she will be a great asset to our organization.”

Under Amanda’s leadership at Artsbridge, the organization:

· Created a partnership with Grand Central Mall which included six outdoor murals, Winter Music Series, a gallery space called "The Canvas Project" along with a series of artist walks.

· Created a large glass mosaic mural inside the new Williamstown Elementary School.

· The ArtCart program expanded from 4 schools to include all 4th & 5th-grade classrooms in Wood County, with the exception of Jefferson who has an art teacher

· Created the Art Connections program which is a traveling mini-series of art classes that goes into the neighborhoods.

· Created a student scholarship program with Luke Frazier and the American Pops Orchestra, along with Fine Arts teacher awards

· Created Art After Dark winter solstice event and a series of lobby art classes

· Began a partnership with Marietta Main Street to participate in all First Friday events
